Chris Plapp, Last modified by Chris Plapp July 01 2016 09:38 AM Customers using the Moodle LMS will now be able to embed Learn360 resources directly inside their Moodle courses, without having to leave Moodle. The file picker plugin is composed of two main components: Repository (repository/learn360) • Provides a custom 'repository' file picker as part of Moodle's built-in media integration. Filter (filter/learn360) • Transforms the video URLs generated by the Learn360 repository plugin into Learn360’s embedded media player. Prerequisites for Installing the Learn360 File Picker Plugin: • Requires Moodle v2.3 or above. • Your LTI Access Key - obtained from Learn360 support. • Download the latest plugin files: (See attached ZIP at the bottom of this article) • If you have previously installed one of our Moodle modules, we would recommend you completely uninstall it before proceeding with this installation. The new file picker plugin will function with the older module still installed, but we cannot provide support for the deprecated activity module.
• Links embedded using the older module CANNOT be migrated over to the new file picker interface. • If you are running a previous version of our Moodle LTI app, you should be able to perform an upgrade by replacing server files and running the normal upgrade process in the Notifications section. The Launch URL will need to be replaced along with your access key. If you run into issues with this process, it is recommended you completely remove the old plugins and perform a fresh installation using the instructions below. Instructions for removing a previous version of our Moodle LTI app: * Note - if you were not using a previous version of our Moodle LTI app, you may skip this section.
• With Moodle Admin credentials, go into Site Administration -> Plugins -> Manage Repositories, and locate the Learn360 repository. • Click the Uninstall link to the right of the Learn360 repository to remove it.
• Click Continue to confirm the action, and then Continue once more to have Moodle remove the plugin folder from the server. • Once complete, you will most like need to click the Upgrade Moodle database button before you can continue. • Return to Site Administration and select Plugins -> Filters -> Manage Filters, and locate the Learn360 Media filter. • Click the Uninstall link to the right of the Learn360 Media repository to remove it.
